built together.

ZeneX does not need to own every layer of the financial infrastructure. We're interested in working with organizations whose capabilities can help us build a more reliable cross-border payment experience for African users.

We're open to conversations with:

Financial Infrastructure Providers

Organizations providing payment collection, payout, settlement, banking, FX or related infrastructure.

Technology Providers

Companies providing APIs, identity verification, fraud prevention, risk, data or other technology that can strengthen the ZeneX platform.

Banks & Financial Institutions

Institutions interested in supporting responsible financial products and payment infrastructure.

Strategic Partners

Organizations with complementary capabilities, distribution, market access or expertise.

All partnerships are subject to appropriate due diligence, commercial terms, regulatory requirements and partner approval.

Frequently Asked
Questions

Have questions about ZeneX? Start here.

We're building ZeneX to make the cross-border payment experience simpler for African freelancers, remote workers and SMEs. Here are some of the questions we hear most often.

1. What is ZeneX?

ZeneX is a fintech company building a better cross-border payment experience for African freelancers, remote workers and SMEs.

We're focused not only on how money moves, but on what happens throughout the payment journey — including visibility, transparency, communication, settlement and support.

2. Who is ZeneX for?

ZeneX is initially being built for African freelancers, remote workers and SMEs who work with international clients, companies or customers.

As we grow, we intend to expand into broader cross-border payment use cases.

3. Does ZeneX replace Payoneer, Wise or other payment platforms?

No.

Existing companies have already solved important parts of international payments.

ZeneX is building around the gaps customers may still experience throughout the payment journey, with a focus on visibility, transparency, communication, reliability and support.

4. How does ZeneX work?

The intended experience is simple:

Payment initiated → Processing → Visibility → Settlement → Customer

The specific payment method, processing flow and settlement options available will depend on the user's location, eligibility, supported infrastructure and applicable requirements.

5. Can I receive payments from international clients through ZeneX?

ZeneX is being built to support international payment workflows for eligible African users.

The specific payment channels and services available will depend on supported infrastructure, partner capabilities, geography, user eligibility and applicable regulatory requirements.

6. Which countries does ZeneX support?

ZeneX is starting from Nigeria and plans to expand into other African markets over time.

Availability of specific services may vary by country and will depend on the applicable payment infrastructure and regulatory requirements.

7. Which currencies can I receive?

Supported currencies will depend on the payment infrastructure and services available to ZeneX users.

We will clearly communicate the currencies and payment options available to you when the relevant service is available.

8. How long does a payment take?

Processing times can vary depending on the payment method, financial institution, infrastructure provider, currency, compliance checks and other factors.

We do not promise a universal processing time for every transaction.

Our goal is to provide clearer visibility and communication throughout the payment journey.

9. What happens if my payment is delayed or stuck?

Payments may occasionally require additional processing or review.

Where this happens, ZeneX aims to provide clearer communication about the status of the payment and any action that may be required.

Our goal is not simply to move the payment, but to make sure the customer isn't left wondering what is happening.

10. How much does ZeneX charge?

Fees will depend on the service, transaction and applicable payment or conversion process.

Our planned revenue model includes transaction fees, applicable FX/conversion fees and, eventually, subscription plans.

The exact pricing structure will be communicated clearly when the relevant services are available.

11. Is ZeneX regulated?

ZeneX operates in a regulated financial environment and takes compliance seriously.

We are building our services within the applicable regulatory framework and working toward appropriate licensed financial infrastructure partnerships.

Specific regulated payment services may be provided through appropriately licensed partners and will remain subject to onboarding, compliance and regulatory requirements.

12. How does ZeneX protect my information?

We take the security and responsible handling of user information seriously.

Our approach includes appropriate data-protection measures, customer verification processes and security controls.

For more information, please see our Privacy Policy.

13. Will I need to complete KYC?

Depending on the service you use, you may be required to provide information or documentation for identity verification and other compliance checks.

The specific requirements will depend on the applicable service, user type and regulatory or partner requirements.

14. Is ZeneX available now?

ZeneX is currently developing its technology-enabled platform while continuing to learn from real users and manual payment operations.

Some services may therefore be limited or unavailable while we complete product development, infrastructure partnerships and applicable compliance processes.

We're building deliberately — not rushing the infrastructure.

15. What makes ZeneX different?

We believe the payment isn't the end of the product.

The customer's experience throughout the payment journey matters too.

ZeneX is building around customer proximity, transparency, visibility, communication, support and the operational lessons we've gained from working directly with users.

16. I have another question. How can I contact ZeneX?

We'd love to hear from you.

You can reach us through our Contact / Partner page or contact us directly through our official support channels.
